When Social Networking Sites go wrong!

For the first time in the history of media, everyone finally has a voice. How you choose to express yourself has become the easiest it's ever been. With the advent of MySpace (if you still use it), Facebook, Twitter, or Youtube, everyone is able to express their views and become overnight sensations or "celebrity assholes".

*enters Petrov family*

Who is Jennifer and Scott Petrov you might ask? Well... Review the following links for a second, then return to my commentary.

So I'm sure you're thinking what I was thinking? WTH is wrong with these people? Are you serious? What in the world can someone do to you that would have you wasting that kind of time to torment someone. Whether you're Christian or atheist, death is a natural part of life and something that no one (atleast the people I know) take lightly and you're choosing to mock this family and little girl  (who by the way is in the last stages of the disease that has already taken her mother)? I am in total disbelief. I had to check various sources to verify that this was real because I thought it was something so over the top that it must be fake.

The best thing about this is that good does triumph over evil and that people all over the world have reached out to encourage this little girl and her family during the final days of her life.

Granted shopping and money will not heal her body, but the quality of life that she will have on this earth her remaining days will greatly be improved. Also, the lesson that this incident can teach is more far reaching than she would have ever imagined.

The Simple View concerning the Petrov's is Facebook and other social mediums exponentiate your reach into the world. Don't let this opportunity show the world how big of an ass you are!
